WESTERN OR INDIGENOUS DEMOCRACY:
What is the Choice for Africa?

In post-colonial Africa the movement towards democracy has been hostile. There have been a few cases of successful transitions out of dictatorship, but the search for a genuine democracy continues. The second annual Connecting with Africa Conference is is in search of a better understanding the choices for Africa. This year we will explore the theme "Western or Indigenous Democracy: What is the Choice For Africa?"
